I’m Luke Merkel and this is my steer Onyx. Onyx is a purebred Simmental. I am 13 years old and a member of Guy’s Homegrown Helpers. This is my first time raising and auctioning a steer. The past few years I have sold pigs but have been showing a variety of animals for 6 years. I am going into 8th grade at Willapa Valley and will be my class president.
