I’m LUCAS SOMERO, a 10th grader from RHS. This is my 4th year in 4-H and PCYLA, the first three years I had a great run in market turkeys. This fourth year for my market project I’ve taken on a new challenge, market hogs.

I’m proud to present Blake, a gorgeous Hampshire Cross barrow that clearly demonstrates my dedication and hard work. Estimated to weigh in at a mouth watering 300 lbs, he’s sure to give higher than average yield and excellent carcass composition.

Though challenging, raising hogs has been a great experience and I’ve learned a lot. My focus has been healthy, quality animals, raised humanely with attention to cost effective feed conversion methods. Come to the Pacific County Fair and I’d love to tell you all about it.
